The Shearer's Cottage used to be a dormitory for visiting shearers, but we've converted it into a charming two bedroom cottage with fitted kitchen and bathroom. From the master bedroom and sitting room, which both open on to a large veranda, the cottage commands views over our vineyard and main truffiere, and looks down into the Waipara river gorge. It's a perfect place to relax after a hard day wine-tasting in the region's wineries.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens of the Limestone Hills homestead, and if they wish, can have a guided tour of our truffiere, vineyard and olive grove. Visitors in the winter truffle season may be able to join a truffle hunt, or purchase fresh truffle. An interesting hour walk/splash up the river from Limestone Hills is the beautiful White Gorge (left), with fly fishing (for wily old trout) possible in all the larger holes. If you don't want to fish, swimming is also possible, especially in the gorge itself.

The master bedroom has a double bed, and there are one or two single beds in the second bedroom. The cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen and there's a bathroom with separate toilet.
